Dr. Xiaoyu Guo
Dr. Xiaoyu Guo, "Dr. G", received her Bachelor in Cell Biology from the University of California, San Diego graduating with Summa Cum Laude. Before transitioning to dentistry, Dr.G was a stem cell biology researcher who studied stem cell applications on treating various human diseases. While she was working in Texas Heart Institute Biorepository Lab, the first lab in Texas receiving accreditation from the college of American pathologists, she got involved in many national clinical trials of stem cells therapy applications on treating cardiovascular disease and this working experience stimulated her ambition to improve human health more directly. After shadowing Dr. Ahmadi, her current partner dentist, she decided to pursue her doctoral degree in dentistry which she could use her skilled and artistic hands and strong medical knowledge background to help people improve their oral health and transform their smiles. From there, she graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy's School of Dentistry where she remained on the Dean's List every semester.
Dr. G maintains memberships in the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. She strongly believes in lifelong learning and keeps attending various continuing education courses to deliver high-quality care for all of her patients. In her free time, Dr. G enjoys spending time with her husband, her kid, and her dog, Hodor. Also, she enjoys playing the piano, cycling, traveling around the world, and exploring cuisines from different cultures
